  • Sanitize all kitchen and bathroom fixtures

Weekly Cleaning Tasks
Weekly tasks should still encompass communal areas and personal work spaces, but they should focus more on big-ticket items that can directly affect the health of employees. Monthly cleaning lists should be shorter, as these tasks are ones that don't necessarily affect the health of people working in and visiting your office. When you're thinking of monthly tasks, they should include items that aren't necessarily visible when you're walking through your office. Here are some of the things you should include:

  • Clean any large pieces of fabric furniture in the office (couches, lounge chairs, etc.)
  • Clear out all air ducts and vents
  • Dust any hard-to-reach surfaces, such as the tops of shelves and ceiling fans
  • Deep clean any carpeting and sanitize hardwood or tile floors

Cleaning your office should be at the top of your list of priorities, as it's where you and your employees spend the majority of the week. Flu viruses can survive on hard surfaces for up to 48 hours, which means daily, weekly, and even monthly sanitizing tasks should never be ignored.
